A fun, light-hearted park
Located in Scottsdale, AZ, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park offers a variety of fun activities for families. This 30-acre park features a model railroad, a railroad museum, and a carousel. The park is also home to a pumpkin patch and petting zoo. The park is open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
The park is located near Scottsdale Road and Indian Bend Road. You can drive there or take the Valley Metro bus route 72. The park is open from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and is free to enter. Children two and under can also enter for free.
During the holiday season, the park is decked out with over 100,000 lights. Visitors can enjoy the park’s miniature train ride, twinkling tunnels, and light displays. It is also home to a 30-foot Christmas tree.
The Swiss Railway Clock
Designed in 1944 by Swiss engineer and designer Hans Hilfiker, the Swiss Railway Clock has remained unchanged since its debut. Despite being a national symbol, it has traveled far beyond the Swiss borders. In fact, the clock has been featured in New York’s MoMa and London’s Design Museum.
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads. It is a family oriented theme park. In addition to the iconic Swiss Railway Clock, the park features several full size railroad attractions. These include the Paradise and Pacific Railroad, a live steam railroad that runs in a giant figure-8 around the Railroad Park. There is also a carousel and several playgrounds.
